  1. I see no legislation on transparency of health care cost from providers( mainly hospitals), we need competition in health care. We all have seen EOB’s and doctors aren’t getting the biggest portion of the fees for surgical procedures.
    Also No tort reform legislation

    • Bob,

I’m not completely unhappy that there isn’t legislation for MPT, or I suppose I would support it if it promotes or even mandates it, but allows MPT to be developed and marketed by private vendors like Monocle Health Data, LLC. I’m glad Congress and the administration “forgot” to handle medical price inflation. It certainly keeps them from messing up my market. On the state level, Georgia is a little hamstrung by the GA Supreme Court’s most recent actions as far as expanding tort reform in Georgia’s courts. As to the federal courts, it is appropriate for the Congress to step in and we’re likely to see some legislation, but I’m not sure how far it will go with the Dems still holding the Senate and the White House.

      Great comments Bob!

      Michael
